The Park Cities
Comprised of Highland Park and University Park, the Park Cities are one of the most affluent areas in all of Texas. It is truly beautiful there, with grand architecture and homes. Lower Greenville Avenue
This is one of the most funky and fun neighborhoods in Dallas. Lower Greenville is located in East Dallas, adjacent to Greenville Avenue, south of Mercedes Avenue and north of Belmont Avenue. This area used to just be known for its nightlife, but it has changed over the years and now has a Trader Joe’s, lots of boutiques, and festive restaurants interspersed with pubs and bars.
Locals are known to catch a show at the Art Deco Granada Theater and walk to dinner at restaurants that serve everything from loaded cheese fries and grass-fed juicy burgers, to Philly cheesesteaks and gluten-free goodies. There is no shortage of variety on Lower Greenville.
Dallas Midtown is one of the newest neighborhoods in Dallas, being developed in the Valley View – Galleria area. The new urban living and retail center will be bordered by 635 on the south, Spring Valley Road on the north, the Dallas North Tollway to the west and Preston Road to the east. The $4-billion renovation provides an urban atmosphere within the heart of the population of North Dallas. This area is changing fast! Even though the biggest development is yet to come, Midtown already offers lots of upscale apartments for rent and is convenient to SMU—it’s about a 15-minute drive to campus.
